Located in the heart of Rugby, birthplace of the game, Satchmo’s Corner invites diners to take some time out, to relax and enjoy a unique and elegant dining experience, in our comfortable, eclectic surroundings.
More than a restaurant, we welcome guests for coffee, cocktails and live music as well as other events that we hope will enrich the local cultural scene.
We believe passionately in the value of good food. Our ingredients are sourced locally when possible and all of our menus are seasonally created by our Head Chef.
From the biscuits to bisque, all of your food is freshly prepared here in our open kitchen. Our in-house experienced chefs, having worked worldwide, now bring their creativity and passion for food to Satchmo’s Corner for you.
We also offer a variety of tasting menus and food and drink events throughout the year. We take our wine seriously, with a selection of fine wines chosen to accompany our menus. These wines are chosen for their unique characters; smooth and easy drinking French wines to great full bodied Italian reds, ideal for quaffing with friends.

Who Could Fault a Diebels Alt?
New to Rugby, we at Satchmo’s are launching a beer that is different in style and taste... it’s not a lager and it’s not an ale... it’s something in between.
It is German, which means it is supposed to have a deep head, but surprisingly less gas, and by law, it’s all natural and no chemicals.
Easy drinking for everyone (above the legal age limit), it’s character is refreshing and slightly malty with a deep bronze colour. It is called Alt (old), because it is brewed at lower temperatures using top fermentation yeast... in the old style and hence the name.
Unique in flavour, and from the north Rhine-Westphalia region around Dusseldorf and Dortmund, and having been thoroughly investigated, we have chosen one of the better-known brews by the Diebels Brauerei. Diebels Alt is 4,9% in strength.
